Google Wave: Can't Wait!

As some of you know, I've always loved the internet. About two years ago, when I started dating the man who is now my husband, who builds computers, I went from being just somewhat interested in the internet to becoming somewhat of an IT geek. One of my new obsessions has become seeking, and trying out, nearly every new service online. I want to tell you about something I stumbled upon quiet accidentally just a couple of hours ago. I was on getsatisfaction.com, looking at Ning's "community" discussions, when I noticed something someone posted about "Google Wave". Well, I had never heard of it, so I decided to read more. It gave a link, so I checked it out. At the link was a video of the press conference Google gave to introduce this "new" service. (I say "new" because it isn't even finished yet, much less released to the public.)
The video, which is 1 hour and 20 minutes long, details a great many features of the service, but please keep in mind that it is still in development, so there may be more features added and/or a couple deleted from final production. I won't list all of the features because they will make more sense in the video, as well as be more impressive... But I'll tell you my two favorites: Seeing everything as it's typed while using the IM-like feature (rather than "Janettee is typing"), and having an automatic translator.

Check it out at http://wave.google.com/
